In October 2016, transplant specialists at our hospital performed a haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplant (Haplo-HSCT) for a 69-year-old patient with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), setting a new age record for Haplo-HSCT.

In February 2016, at the Tandem Meeting of Conference of American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplantation Research (ASBMT-CIBMTR) held in Hawaii, Professor Lu Daopei received the Distinguished Service Award.
Taking the lead in transplantation for aplastic anaemia
In January 2016, the outstanding clinical results achieved by Lu Daopei Hospital in applying a new conditioning programme for allo-HSCT to treat severe aplastic anaemia (SAA) were published in the China Hematology Journal. It was published under the title "Comparison of the Efficacy between Haplo-HSCT and Unrelated HSCT in SAA Treatment", marking our hospital's leading position in transplantation for aplastic anaemia.
Outstanding scientific results were presented at the European Bone Marrow Transplantation Annual Meeting (EBMT), the Asia-Pacific Bone Marrow Transplantation Annual Meeting (APBMT), the European Hematology Association (EHA) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).
