The world's oldest (65-year-old) unrelated HSCT patient was successfully discharged.
In September 2012, a 65-year-old patient with Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia was admitted to our hospital. The risk for elderly patients with leukemia in unrelated transplantation is extremely high. The transplant specialists at our hospital performed the patient's HSCT with a reduced-intensity conditioning regimen at the end of November 2012. The patient was discharged from the hospital on 30 January 2013 and is in good health.
